Bwhahaha.. Yesterday we sort of like threw Hui Lih a surprise party.. But she knew that we’re goign to do something for her but not too sure what. And some more not everyone would be there.. But anyway.. Here’s how it goes….
Friday (25/02)
After CG bible study Chung Ang, Kevin, Elmund & I started discussing on what do we need to do for Hui Lih’s birthday. Instead of doing a normal video like wishing birthday and all that.. We decided on acting out series on how Hui Lih got involve in our lives. So we were set…
Saturday (26/02)
So everything was set.. Went to church in the morning to ask for a word of blessing from Pastor, but he said he wanted to prepare and asked me to come back tomorrow after service.. So okay.. Lots of thigns happened in the earlier afternoon, and we had shortage of time as well. The people got invovled were Chung Ang, Elmund and I during the afternoon.. After we took our shooting we went and look for James Lee to get his messages for chief. Then later went and look for Elaine to try and get hold of Hui Lih’s parents for the interview.. But that time the parents also not available.. So ok, never mind.. So our project continue at 8.45 pm, and started to shoot. This time more ppl came.. Apart from the one this afternoon were Caca, Deluxe, Elaine, & Kevin.. So all the shooting was done.. We all finished up by 11.30pm and I finished up compiling everything by 3am. (It’s all for a good cause)
Sunday (27/02)
After churh service, we needed to get rid of Hui Lih some how to prevent her from knowing on what we were planning.. While the rest were busy entertaining her, Chung Ang & I went and interview Miriam first.. Followed by Pastor.. After that we did a quick scene with Lin in church and that was that. Once everything was over, we had to go for lunch.. We’ve already made an appointment with her parents that we need to take messages from her.. So what we did was company B went and brought hui LIh for lunch, while Company A went over to her to do the recording.. Everything went smooth.. So we met up for lunch.. After lunch went back and compile everything, and everything was set for the party…
Plan was like this.. Because Hui LIh had something on earlier that nite, so the plan was to kidnap her.. Kidnappers (Chung Ang, Kevin & Elaine) were suppose to pick up the target at her place and blind fold her and drive her around town, while the rest of us were waiting at my place to give her a surprise.. Upon arrival at my place, the kidnappers went and brought her around my house before entering the house.. Once she sat down we all screamed surprise and she was shocked because Elaine sort of told her that all of us were busy (Which was the oldest trick in the book).. But anyway, she sort of knew that it will be held at my place because of the smell of pandan outside my house and the noisy dog that my neighbour had.. BUt anyway, it was all good. So first thing first.. Treasure hunt..
Clue No 1 :-
From the North I can hear but I can’t talk,
From the South I can talk but I can’t hear.
So it was hard for her to find out what the heck was that.. Then she gave up and the rest came and join in the fun.. So they found out it was the telephone, and still couldn’t able to find out what the thing was. Until Caca picked up the phone and screamed, but our beloved Hui LIh was blur and didn’t know anything.. Hahaha.. It took her quite a while to do so.. Anyway, once she found the clue this is wat it says..
Clue No 2 :-
One, Two, Three, Four,
Make me spin, I’ll tell you more.
This time it was easier for everyone was because they knew it was a fan.. But the thing is that there were 3 fans in the same room.. Hahaha.. And all the switches were set to One.. Then Hui Lih got smart by reading it again, and with the no FOUR, she went and switched it all to Four and looked for the notes that could have fallen.. And the next clue was…
Clue No 3 :-
In this room you cannot die,
Here is where we had our illegal 3R,
Look for something that can be opened,
There lies the treasure that awaits you.
Here it was pretty easy, but Hui Lih once again acted “Innocent” dunno anything.. Hahaha.. The area this time was in the “Living Room” so she went there after numerous hints that I had to throw out.. Hahaha, the she went and turned on the TV and the VCD player and all that.. But actually there was a cupboard there where she didn’t know how to open.. Hahaha.. But anyway, she found it in the end. And opened it, it was a skirt.. So she put in on and we had photo session. It’s all at Elmund’s camera… After that it was the video time…
Apart from technical errors, all went well.. End up using my laptop to play the movie. But it was all good.. What amazed me was that, while we were doing all the shooting.. There were no scripts and all that.. But somehow, all of us would be able to blend in just like that.. And it was spontaneous.. The best part I think was when we did the “Patient” scene where Elmund was the Patient, Kevin was the doctor, and Deluxe was the nurse.. Hahaha.. It was so funny when Elmund tried to dig his way out and hide, and Deluxe just flipped him out of the bed.. Hahaha.. It looked as if we had it all worked out.. And we did that in 1 shot.. Actually 2, the first one we started laughing so we did it again.. And for other scenes, it was as if it was meant to be that way.. And the dialog was spontaneous, it was really amazing.. Really thank God that He was able to make a few of us just work just like that.. Hahaha.. Really have to thank Caca, Chung Ang, Deluxe, Elaine, Elmund, & Kevin who worked really hard towards the last moment. And everythign went smoothly.. But again I would like to apologize for the rest due to the limited time, as well as a lot of miss communication whereby I forgotten to call up a few other people as well.. realy sorry ya. But all in all, I would like to thank everyone that participate.. Really appreciate it ppl.. Thank you once again…
