Ok.. As promised I would like all of you see this flash that was posted in my friend Chia Ying’s blog…
Love
During Good Friday, when I watched the remake of Christ carrying the cross by Ps. It got me thinking, why in the world would someone die for you when it was you that put Him on that very cross itself. He did it because of love.. Why would God do such a thing like that. Even though I read 1 Cor 13:4-8 a lot of times before, and some how this time it struck me… Everything that has been there shows how much God loves us…
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails”
Jesus is love.. And the only time you see Him getting angry was when He drove all the ppl who were doing business in the temple.. But what struck me most from this verse was this.. “It Keeps no records of wrongs.” Indeed a lot of times people do hurt us, and we could have hurt them back. I know I have.. I can recall the hurt that someone put me through.. And whenever I think about it, it would just boil my blood and by the end of the day I end up being very upset and uneasy and at times hurt.. While most likely the other person who has no idea of what in the world I was feeling, will most likely be having a good time somewhere and laughing… But when I see this verse that came.. It some how made me realise what I’m doing is wrong.. And so what if that person could have commented something bad or did something bad to me.. “we are asked to emulate our Lord, then we are to try as hard as we can to do what was mentioned” comments by Elmund. So are we living the way we should be? Are we those people who will add in more wood to the fire when someone say something bad about a person ?? Or are we those type who will put the flame out…
Ru’s comment was “It’s hard to have that sort of perfect love. Human love isn’t as accepting, isn’t as patient, is never as trusting. It’s a funny thing love. Full of contradictions. Otherwise, why would there be sayings like: “love hurts” and “love is blind” and “one true love” etc etc” So we’ve got another point of view that is human love.. “isn’t as accepting, isn’t as patient, is never as trusting” Then can that be consider as love ? But I like how Ru ended her comments “I dunno lah. I can only hope that my love will be half the love the bible prescribes. Kira quite good already like that” What is stopping us to be how the bible describe love?
We take a short break and look at this clip…
Passion
So what are we expecting out of love ? Are we trying to find Mr.Right and Ms.Perfect all the time ?? Are we willing to go through everything like what the guy said to the girl?? And if the girl wouldn’t accept the guy’s love, most likely he’ll be crushed.. You know how it feels like to be rejected, and the thing is that the guy haven’t do anything yet.. All he did was just talked about what he will do. But if we looked from Jesus’s point of view, He died for you and me. And how do we repay him ?? Totally opposite of how 1 Cor 13:4-8 describe.. Pretty upsetting don’t you think? Anyway, I would like you guys to visit me friend Ying’s Blog and her post is on the 3rd April.. So let’s do our best to try and be how love is describe from the bible.. Take care & God Bless..
