Rev. Rocking on The Piano
Got up very early today, as we need to be in the church by 7AM. Woke up I think about 6, then fell back to sleep again. 45 mins later, Deluxe knock on my door to wake me up. So quickly got a brief shower and headed to church. We arrived at church about 7, and they’ve already started to pray for the whole service. Once that was done, the choir practice their song which they will be presenting later during the service. And the Rev, was their pianist which I think he really can rock. Today’s message was to tie up on the previous Thursday service, whereby we all should rise up, be fill with the Spirit of God and reach out. After service, while mama and papa had to stay back for choir practice. Deluxe and myself went out and returned her gown to the bridal shop. When we got back to the church, we went and tapao some breakfast at the nearby store and head back to the church to wait for mama and papa.

Where we got our food

Pretty rare to see things like this again
After church, we went to WTC Mangga Dua Square to finalize the engagement invitation card. Just to make sure that everything is printed out properly and with no spelling mistakes or what soever. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a picture of our card due to the fact that they use recycle paper I think. But anyway, it turned out great and can’t wait for it to come out. Then we head straight up to the top floor and plan to have lunch there. But when we got up there, a service from another church was being held there. So all of the chairs were taken by them.

Chicken Rice??

Singapore Fried Kueh Tiaw
Never the less, we still made our order and the store we ordered from gave us their chair. Deluxe had Chicken Rice (it’s actually named something else, but I forgotten what it was), while the rest of us had Singapore Fried Kueh Tiaw which was quite ok. After that was over, we went back to the ground floor and bought some bread from Bread Talk. Business seems to be very good for Bread Talk as the queue was very long and they kept on refilling their display area with bread and other delicious bakery. Once we bought finished the bread, we head over to Aunt Fut’s place to have a chit-chat.

We spent quite a while there, chatting and had kueh bae (ba-it). Pak Pak was there as well, so we had some more makan there and of course managed to drink some chicken herbal soup which was just the drink I need to continue the day. As all of us were sitting around and watching TV enjoying the kueh bae which was made by Aunt Fut, it sort of kinda remind me of the same environment where I was back in Long Lama with my 2nd Aunt as she would be making some goodies for us to eat, while telling us stories. Despite of being in a huge city, you still can get the same good old family gathering environment which is similar to smaller village which I used to go to.

Mama continue to stir the kueh, while Aunt Fut went and get the plates
After that, we head over to Diamond cake house to check finalize our cake as well to be used on that day. We managed to get a cake which is about 2.1 meters tall (inclusive of table), and the person who was there told us to go to Angke to taste the type of cake that we want to use. Apparently that was our next stop, and there we were going off to Angke as we also need to meet up with the wedding organizer. Angke was having a 2 days exhibition for wedding dinner functions, I think it was done very well. Think of it like PC fair, but instead each booth represent different services such as wedding organizers, gown rental, etc, and best of all free food.

Me Tasting the food
After we finalized everything for that day program and the food we requested in Angke, mama and papa decided to go back while Deluxe and I went to another shopping mall to look for her shoe. We managed to get her shoes in Java which was currently having sale at the moment, and I think we got her shoes was a great bargain. After that we headed over to Kelapa Gading Mall, to have a look around and see if they have any other stuff that we need. After walking a few minutes, I started to get hungry so we went up to Hoka-Hoka Bento. It’s like a Japanese Fast Food restaurant, and indeed it was very good.

Rudy’s Martabak

Hundreds of people waiting for their food
After dinner, we went downstairs again to buy some stuff to bring back home to share with our CG members as well did some groceries shopping. Then we head over to the outer part of Kelapa Gading to try their famous Martabak which Deluxe had been promoting most of the time during her stay in Kuching. So she went and ordered Martabak Manis, which was actually Apam Balek whereby they put in peanuts as well as chocolate rice with sweet condense milk. Once we’ve bought that, we walk back home. Then as I tried the Martabak, I tell you it taste really, really good. I still can taste the food while I’m typing this. After clearing up everything, I showered and call it a night. Thus end Day 6.
