Hujan Susah, Tak Hujan Pun Susah….

Lol, was trying to blog in Malay, but apparently I don’t know how to start. Anyway, yesterday Kuching was hit by a major storm and a few people especially those who were doing their business on the side walk was pretty much effected. Caused a few car alarms to ring, as well as some tables got toppled. What’s even worst was that our shop roof got blown away, and yes it leaked through the ceiling. Apparently Mum was upstairs, came down and told us as if something hit the roof. Probably we thought it could have been some of the wooden items we left upstairs, so we continued to wait for the rain to stop which was about close to 6.30 in the evening. After relieving myself from upstairs, I heard a dripping noise which I thought came from outside. And to my dismay, it sounded as it it came from my so called “home studio”.

So I quickly rushed over and have a look, yeap it was leaking all right. So I quickly get a pail to place it where the leak is, and carry on going up stairs to check again. Yes, the place was flooded which pretty much leak from the missing part roof, to the bedroom, and all the way down. So I went and quickly get more pails to store the water first, then went and start to mop the excess water. After pretty much clearing up the place, I went down and told Deluxe about it then we close the shop and started clearing up the place.

Eventually everything was all right, and I went up to the roof and check how bad was the damage. And there was a pretty large hole from where I stood. Didn’t take a picture of it, as well. We need to get back to work and no time to take pictures. Plus it would be very difficult for me to climb over the barrier to take a closer picture of the actual damage. Anyway, that night we prayed that it will not rain and hopefully the repair fella would be able to patch the hole up. So this morning the fella came over and had a look at the actual damage of the thing and was pretty much shocked as well. So after measuring the hole he said it would be better to replace everything, so I guess that was pretty much it. So they came back around 12 this afternoon to bring the stuff up before heading out to lunch, and managed to clear up everything by 4pm. So it was all good. And hopefully we will not be facing anymore leaking situation again. Thank God that the baby has not come out yet, if not I could have shudder to think how everything would turned out in the end. Ok.. Apart from that, the Sarawak Regatta was over and didn’t really had time to blog or go around taking pictures because there was way too many people pushing here and there.. So ended up didn’t do anything.. But the sad thing was the mess they left after everything was over. Fortunately for us the stall operating in front of us weren’t selling Satay, because the smoke literary went into the shop and pretty much smoked everyone in there. Even until today when I passed those few shops I could still smell the after effect of the smoke. Guess it would take a while and a whole lot of cleaning for them. Wokay.. Signing off now. Will be going out soon. Have a nice day.
