BLack Out IN Sarawak

Taken from The Star
MIRI: A state-wide power cut in Sarawak on Saturday evening saw the blackout affect more than two million people over a distance of 1,000km from Kuching to Miri.

Cities and towns in the state were plunged into total darkness causing massive chaos as everybody was caught by surprise.

The power failure started in Kuching at about 6.30pm Saturday and rapidly spread northward to Sibu then to Miri by 7.30pm.

I was doing halfway of my work when the whole thing happened. Apparently what happened was that, I could see lights slowly dimming and I quickly save before my laptop went black out.. Yup, my battery doesn’t last long anymore, once the power cut off that goes for my laptop as well…

After we close the shop, we went to Hong Kong Noodles at Padungan to have our dinner.. Apparently they managed to make it into a candle light dinner environment. But there were a lot of people trying to get into the sundry shop to purchase stuff. The owner had to held their torch lights to the customer to make sure they really purchase stuff. While eating halfway, the lights came back on. So after we completed our dinner we went over to Parkson to help Deluxe get her membership card from BaiBoo which actually turned into something else.. Oh well, something is better than nothing..

Then we were thinking of getting waffles from Magic Bite, when the black out strikes again. That was about 8:15pm, then we decided to head back. We were pretty much got stuck in the traffic due to the traffic lights were out. Thus everyone was not giving way to anyone. Oh well, everyone wants to get back home soon I guess.. After dropping both Deluxe and mum in law, I went and park the car. On the way back I was talking to the guy who was selling gambir before the electricity came back on again.. Hopefully it will not die out again. Lol, if not I don’t know how to sleep.. Hahaha.

But it was pretty cool in a way because the whole town was pitch black while I was parking the car. Then something came up, which for a very long time I haven’t seen in ages. :) Have a nice day.
