Beware…

Subject: Duped by credit card scam upon check in at Hotel

You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. When checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for all the charges for your room). You get to your room and settle in. Someone calls the front desk and asked for (example) Room 620 (which happens to be your room).

Your phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following, ‘This is the front desk. When checking in, we came across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side of your charge card.

Not thinking anything you might give this person your information, since the call seems to come from the front desk. But actually, it is a scam of someone calling from outside the hotel/front desk. They ask for a random room number. Then, ask you for credit card information and address information. Sounding so professional that you do think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this problem on your vacation, tell the caller
that you will be down at the front desk to clear up any problems. Then,
go to the front desk and ask if there was a problem. If there was none,
inform the manager of the hotel that someone called to scam you of your
credit card information acting like a front desk employee.

If you feel that the tips are useful, please forward it to your relatives, friends & colleague.

Subject: Bangkok International Airport

Folks, be warned and be really careful, check the items you bought and
give back what does not belong to you even when the shop assistants
claimed it’s ‘free’. I believe the duty free shop assistants would also
get a share……..so, be very, very careful. Read below

My Dept. secretary informed on this. Her cousin was detained in Bangkok
for stealing a box of cigarettes in a duty-free shop in Bangkok
International Airport .

He had paid for chocolates and a carton of cigarettes. The cashier put a
packet of smokes into his bag and he thought it was a free pack.

He was arrested for shop-lifting and the Thai Police extortion price was
equivalent to RM30, 000 for his release. He spent two nights in jail and paid RM50 for
an air-con cell, 200-300 baht for each visitor, and RM11,000 for his
final release.

The Police shared the money in front of his eyes. On top of that, he was
charged in court and fined RM2,000 by the magistrate and handcuffed and
escorted to his plane.

His passport was stamped “Thief”. While there, his relatives requested
help from the Malaysian Embassy and was told that they are helpless, as
Malaysians are victimised similarly daily and letters and phone-calls to
the Thai Authorities are ignored. He shared a cell with a Singaporean
the 1st night who paid RM60,000 for his release. The 2nd night was an
Indian national who paid USD70,000. Mind you this is not in a shag
downtown Bangkok but in a duty free shop in Bangkok ‘s Int’l
Airport. Please share this experience with all your friends.

Subject: Driving to JB

If you get RM 10.00 in your car door handle, use tissue paper or cloth
to remove it without opening it and if possible bag it. Drive away immediately.
Don’t check the note until you are in the company of your friends or relatives.
The note could either contain powdered drugs to knock you out or make
you wonder if some guilty motorists compensating you for a knock or
scratch on your car, while you are still wondering, the robber(s) will
attack you as you check the car.

This had happened in Johor. Please circulate to your friends and warn them!.

Lonely, I’m Mr Lonely…

It has been 3 days that I’ve been staying alone in the shop. Both Deluxe and Esther along with my mum went to KL to attend a close friend wedding. And apparently life without them really feels strange. This is practically the first time that I was left alone ever since Deluxe and I got married. Normally it was the other way round, as I would be the one who is traveling. And both Deluxe and Esther pretty much stayed behind, but not alone of course. Either my mom in law or my mom will be around to accompany her.

Anyway, I pretty much miss the loud noise of Esther when she gets up and wanted to go down or just running around the bedroom shouting. I miss the way she would say “Good Morning, Pa Pa”, and not to mention at times I would bathe her. I miss her running around in the shop, and me telling her to stop doing or grabbing things around. Yeah, I pretty much miss everything about her.
But the one I truly miss is Deluxe whom I felt suddenly so lonely not being able to see her when I wake up. Not being able to hear her speak, and asking me what would I like to have this morning. And during lunch time she would just go down and asked me to have lunch first, and also every 2-3 hours come down to check if I need a toilet break. I miss her smile, her voice, her scent, her hugs, and love that she always showers me. I couldn’t imagine if we were going to be apart for how many weeks or even months, what more to say years. And yes, being married to someone pretty much makes you settled down and don’t really fancy going out if you really have to.

For the past few nights, I’ve only went out yesterday which was to meet a group of my ex-schoolmates who have been in Kuching but never really got the chance to meet with them. I was not able to stay long, as I pretty much got slightly a bit tired when the clock hits about 9pm. I don’t know, but I guess life’s like that I suppose. Thursday night I was at home doing the podcast, Friday night I was at home watching Inception, last night went out for the gathering, and tonight I’m at home finishing up the 2nd part of the laundry. It’s not that I’m complaining or anything, just that it feels so much nicer being at home rather than going out. Haha.

Maybe for those out there probably might judge me because well, Deluxe and I have been married like that for 3 years, and we still have those puppy love kinda thingy. And the journey is still long ahead, but I do pray everyday that I shall always remain faithful to her no matter what. No doubt people may say that she may not be like Britney Spears anymore in 40 years time, but I do have to remind others that I’m no Tom Cruise neither.

So the moral of the story? Hopefully when we do grow old, I do hope that I wouldn’t ended up being senile. And pretty much annoy Deluxe most of the time. Lol. But I’m looking forward to the very last day that I breathe, the last thing I would love to tell Deluxe is that “Can you make me another bowl of kolo mee? All these years, from the moment that we’ve been together. The only person that I have love is you, and you only.” And I do hope that I’ll be able to utter those words to her, and I pray that God will allow me to do so. Else I’ll end up senile, and don’t even what to say. You guys have a good Monday tomorrow ;)

Holan, Kevin & Kieng Tung

We had a good session with Kieng Tung. Just that I accidentally deleted the 2nd part of the interview while editing the track this morning. Anyway, really wished that it was the 1st part that got deleted. Haha. Oh well, it’s all good. We did this interview over skype once again, but the only difference is that I called Kieng Tung on Skype instead. Do check it out, and our next topic will be on the difference between guys and girls thinking. Enjoy :)

Ratings Are Up

My current ranking stood at 3391 as of 6.34pm. Which is the highest rank that I’ve ever got. Thanks to both Kevin & Ru for helping out in my last podcast on Late Nite Edition With Holankia :)

Current Ratings for Holankia Talkshow @ 12.35pm

The ratings are in, and I’m currently ranked at 7113.  Unlike the previous weeks where I was up around 4k++, then dropped to about 10k and now up to 7k.  And I couldn’t have done it without the help of my friends who helped me in promoting my podcast.  Well, do I consider being  successful? To me I guess so, as I didn’t know that I will be doing it more regularly already.  Currently once a week, because of friends coming in to support and helped join in the fun.

And since this will be a long term kinda thing, I’ve already draw up a plan on what I’m going to do in the future.  But won’t be sharing out here.  And those I’ve shared it with seems to give me positive feedback on it.  I’m still preparing on how I should go around it for now, but everything seems to be in place for now.  And of course, within the next few months or years might need to invest in bigger equipment.  But that will be in the long term kinda thingy.

Ratings as of 6.34pm went up another 3k!

For now I’m planning to have a main show with different segments, which will of course be co-host by other people.  And I’m still trying to figure out on how to connect to my mobile phone the cheap way.  There are some solutions, but it’s kinda costly.  So trying to figure out on how to go about around it.  We’ll see how it goes, if not the speaker phone will just have to do. Hehehe.  Ok you guys have a good day and do help me promote my show ya ;) \

P.S Richard Ling, what happened to you? Never reply me on Twitter. You block me on Facebook as well as Twitter kah?
