Esther First Day At Kindy

  So I have finally join the ranks of those who wakes up early in the morning to send their children off to school.  Well, for Esther she started Kindergarten yesterday and didn’t cry throughout the whole time.  The only time she burst into tears was when everyone started leaving for home.  Probably because everyone was going home, and she didn’t see where Deluxe was.  Whereby in actual fact, mommy was at the back of the classroom observing her.

  Never the less, it was indeed an awkward moment, not hearing her running upstairs and calling mama this, mama that.  The place seems to be very quiet without her around.  But today, after recess she burst into tears when the teachers told the class that after recess they would be going home soon.  But unlike yesterday, this time we were early there, as we were worried due to the flood we might reached her kindy late to prevent yesterday episode from happening.

  So we’re still not too sure why she’s acting that way, but once she calmed down we explain to her once again that she didn’t had to worry as we will pick her up on time.  LOL.  Oh well, tomorrow is another day.  And hopefully she would have a better time then, and not to worry about it.

Happy Father’s Day

This is the 2nd year I’ve pretty much celebrated Father’s Day. Never the less it has always been a great joy for any occasion to celebrate any celebration with the family, and Father’s Day is pretty much one of them. After coming back from my usual morning walk, had a quick shower and got myself a cup of coffee. I was surprised with this heart shape cheese cake by Deluxe, which of course was carried in by Esther.

Never the less, it has been one of the memorable moments in life you would just love to cherish. On how blessed one person is, to have a loving wife and daughter. But I’ve got to give Deluxe credit, ever since I’ve gotten her that mixer she has been extremely hard working on baking cakes. So again I’m blessed with a wife who can bake! Something which I find it quite surprising.

Never the less, thank you dear for preparing this just for me. I love you.

Family Reunion

Esther & Her Kung Kung

Chinese New Year have always been one of my favourite time of the year.  Probably it’s because that’s when all the family would come back and celebrate together during this festive season.  And of course, as each year goes by and we tend to start something fresh.  Family do play an important role in one’s life.  And not to mention that, blood is indeed thicker than water.

And of course this year, we have a little addition to the family.  Whereby we finally able to meet Alyssa, Esther cousin.  Indeed she was a bundle of joy adding to the family tree.  Hehehe, but never the less it’s all good.  They’ve already talk about next year plan where by then both Esther and Alyssa would be running around the house screaming and shouting. LOL. I guess it’s all good.

All in all.  It was a good gathering for all of us.  As a time of reconciliation, time of getting to know each other more have been this year.  Everything seems to be pretty much the same as the adults will always remain in the adult table.  Where as us kids, will always be in the other table.

Despite being a short trip, where as Deluxe, Esther and myself came back to Kuching on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year.  As we pretty much went back early as well.  This year will be a good year to start everything all over again, whereby I’ll be venturing into something new.  And hopefully by next year would have achieve my target already.  So you guys have a good year ahead of you :)

Alex & Esther Jong : Everybody Praise The Lord (Original Song)

Esther loves to sing and dance. I guess all children loves to do it as well. Anyway, how this song came along was that, she tends to sing a lot of songs when she was young. Plus, she tends to make up her own tunes and lyrics. This was one of the many songs she composed which caught my attention. so I went and asked Deluxe where did she listen to these songs. Deluxe told me she didn’t know either, as she tends to sing a lot of songs where she would sort of “composed” on her on. Deluxe then sort of challenged me that maybe I should help fill up the gap of all her songs. And I thought it wasn’t a bad idea as well. So hence this song came quickly so to speak that night. Will probably do a remake of this in the future when she grows up a little. Till then God bless.

Esther Painting : Picaso in making?

Sometimes it’s kinda difficult in knowing what Esther really wants to do.  Buying toys for her, didn’t really solve much of the problems whereby she would just sit down and play with it the whole day.  The most also she will spend on her new toy is only 10-15 mins before she starts to get bored.  Fortunately for Deluxe she has a website to refer to whenever she runs out of ideas on what to do with Esther.  Our Everday Things has basically all the resources of bringing children up from real life experience.  So you can pretty much forget about those self help books. Lol.

Because it’s so complete whereby Leonny actually blogged about everything that her children does and activities she does with them, it came very handy especially for Deluxe.  After going through her blog as well, kinda got me inspired to write more as well and try to keep up with what Esther is doing.   You know how time flies (especially for me this year), and sometimes it’s good that we keep track on Esther’s progress.  Hence the idea of getting a new camera came in, and Deluxe could tell me what they did.  In a way, it does help us in our marriage whereby communication is the key factor here.  And we would always talk about what she does, and update each other of things.  So that’s why you tend to see me write more things about the family now, because of all this.

Anyway, back to the story.  Like it or not, we spend a lot investing in our children especially on toys.  And they pretty much get bored easily after a few days.  And it’s a sign you need to get something new again.  But instead of trying to get those “costly” toys, you could try getting some watercolors and a drawing block which pretty much adds up less than RM10.  Esther just loves to get herself messy or finding time to paint on her drawing block.  And she could spend more than 30 minutes just by working on her master piece, compared to the other toys she would normally play with.  You can check out the benefits of children drawing, and see what they say about it.

Oh yeah, make sure you do it before bath time.  So you won’t need to worry if she gets all messy in the end.  So it’s all good :)   You guys have a good day now.
