Breakfast Around Main Bazaar

Ok,  considering that I’m slightly more free today, I shall update this blog here with the things I have been munching on for the past few days.

Fried Kueh Tiaw – RM4.50 @ Attaphouse Kopitiam
RM0.60 for a small cup of coffee, while RM1 for a big one

The name of this shop is Attap House Kopitiam if I’m not mistaken.  Will check it out later again, when I pass by that area later.  The pricing for the meal was quite reasonable, and the food wasn’t too bad as well.  It is located next to the popular kolo mee stall at Bishopgate, where they replaced Mdm. Tang.  So it’s not too hard to miss.

2 Roti Canai @ RM2.40, Kopi-O big RM1.80

Sarawak Laksa @ RM4

You can have 2 of these at Waterfront Cafe which is situated right opposite the Amphitheater at Waterfront.  They serve quite a few things as well, but normally I would go for either their Roti Canai or Sarawak Laksa.

So for the past few days, this was pretty much what I had for breakfast.  I’ll update more when I have the time.  Have a nice day.

Deluxe Delight!

This time Deluxe has indeed out done herself.  Apparently she has a hidden talent that was waiting to burst out at the right moment.  So I guess the birthday gift would indeed be a win win situation not only her but for me :P   Anyway, on with the show.   Reason why I call it Deluxe Delight is due to the fact that this brownies, are really thick with chocolate taste.   The taste is really good, and is not dry but rather quite moist.  Kinda like eating M & Ms, whereby it melts in your mouth but not in your hands.  Hehehe.  Never the less, this was her second attempt and it was successful.  Her first attempt she forgotten to put in baking soda, so the brownies didn’t rise as she wanted it to.  But never the less, here it is.  Deluxe Chocolate Delight!  Anyway, the brownie was gone the following day.  Seriously it was that good. LOL

Deluxe Delight

Sarawak Laksa ala Deluxe

Few weeks ago, Deluxe decided to try and whoop a batch of Sarawak Laksa.  The verdict, I would give 10/10.  Here were the reason why I say so :-

  1. Gravy was just nice, not too spicy
  2. Well, it’s home cooked so you can go back for 2nd rounds
  3. Plus check out the fillings in the bowls.  How can you not give a 10/10

Fish And Chips ala Deluxe

Just realized that I didn’t post up something today.  Was doing the final migration for the shop website, which happened to be completed finally.  Right now just fine tuning it already.  And hopefully will start adding more products from tomorrow onwards.

Fish & Chips ala Deluxe

One of the greatest or amazing stuff that Deluxe do, is that she loves to experiment.  We were doing our groceries shopping two weeks ago, and she told me she wanted to try to make fish and chips.  And I told her, by all mean just do it.  As you can see for the results, is almost  the same as the one below.

Fish and chips from Westwood

You can see there may be different in terms of frying the fish.  As most of the flour being used by Westwood is probably those Kentucky flour.  Lol.  But never the less, the taste was seriously good.  Plus she used Corn Oil to fry it, so I’m not too sure if that could have been the issue for not turning over brown like the picture above.  Out of 5 stars, I’ll give Deluxe 4.5 star because the first try didn’t always turn out that well.  The second batch she did was better, but unfortunately I forgotten to take a picture of it.  Never the less, I still love Deluxe for trying her best and experimenting.  At least now I don’t need to look for a place too far away to have fish and chips!

Westwood Restaurant, Kuching

Ok, haven’t been updating on the food category.  Nothing much to share today, as I was busy doing a little bit of housekeeping for someone.  Never the less, here is what normally I would order from Westwood.  We were here about 2 weeks ago.

Garlic Bread @ RM5

One of the must have there is probably the garlic bread.  I guess that’s common appetizer because you might need to wait a while before the main course arrives.  Best eaten with mushroom soup, but that night we didn’t ordered.  Didn’t know why.

Fish & Chips RM10

This happened to be one of our favorite food ordered.  Priced at RM10, this is a good bargain for fish and chips.  But because we were there during the weekday, we used our coupons that enabled us to have this for only RM8.  Never the less it was very satisfying.  And total cost for both Deluxe and myself was less than RM25 including drinks.

Westwood has been one of the common places where we used to eat most of the time.  Not only the price is reasonable the food is good as well.  Maybe I should probably order something else next time.  Short post this time.  Never the less you guys have a good day!
