Wrestlemania 27 has just ended, and this is next up coming Pay Per View I will be indeed looking forward to see who will actually come out victorious.  Probably for the 3-4 corner fights may probably considered a handicap match as it will be a disadvantage for the opposition party both SNAP & PKR since they can’t agree to the seats allocations.  Never the less, it would be something interesting to see how it will turn out in the end.

Never the less, talks within the coffee shops and around this area have been about the upcoming election.  Plus, there have been 1 Malaysia goody bags that was distributed few days ago (which unfortunately I did not receive) and campaigning from DAP via SMS as well as leaflets.  So I’m expecting for the next 2 weeks I’ll be seeing politician coming down to the shop just to shake hands, and maybe I might take a picture of them here.  And probably tell them may the best candidate win.

As for me, will most likely be heading back to Miri to place my vote there.  But will probably make it a day trip, so let the battle begin!

Sarawak State Election Coming?

Earlier this year, I received news that Sarawak state election will most likely be before or after Raya.  As I was told that they were starting to mobilize and beginning to get funding for their campaigns.  Anyhow, signs are really showing especially when news is circling our current CM in Sarawak apparently have been in the headlines very frequently as of late (good and bad).

I believe this will be a testing ground for our current PM to see if Sarawak will continue to be a deposit for the ruling coalition of Barisan Nasional.  Plus the number of increase of his popularity shows that he might be calling for a snap election sooner than we thought.  Maybe that’s why you see currently UMNO is trying to distance itself from Perkasa, and uniting with other BN components to prove a point that BN is all about 1Malaysia.

It will be interesting to see how the outcome of the current election here in Sarawak.  I talked to a numbered of people throughout this year asking them who they would be voting for.  There has been a fair share of BN and PR, but some answer I received which I find it amusing.  They were saying for Parliamentary seats they will be voting for PR, but as for State Election they will continue to vote for BN.  Reason behind it saying that at least in the parliament there would be voice from Sarawak to demand more from the country, where as for the State seats they just to ensure that development would still be carried out.

In terms of generations, older people tend to vote for BN while the younger generations will stick their guns with PR. But I do meet some young people that they will continue to vote for BN because they’re parents are hard core supporters of BN. Lol, so they will always think that the opposition are here to sort of “kacau” development.

I’m not too sure about the rural areas though.  No doubt media have been doing a lot of writing that some are angry, while others are not with the current government.  But you can’t really judge from that, as the media tends to make small news seems so big.  I believed that a lot of the rural folks are currently happy with the situation where they are at the moment.  As most of them are currently old and thinks that the government is doing well.  Plus they don’t get news about what is currently happening with the country.  I believe that they are more concern about the news of their family and friends instead.  So it would be interesting to see the results later, so you can pretty much be sure who is talking facts or fictions.

I guess there will be more ugly things popping out about CM and his family wealth, which I sort of have a conspiracy theory about it.  But I won’t be talking about that, because after all.  This is politics. But I still think urban areas will most likely fall to the hands of PR, and rural areas will still continue to be within BN hands.

Since PKR will be having their election as well, I believe BN will most likely be observing the flaws that could come out during the campaigning and might be used against them in this coming election.  You never know, maybe our current CM will have an inspiration and call for a state election on the very day PKR is holding.  And probably that would be something interesting to see.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts and opinions only.  So whatever I say here has pretty much nothing to do deter you from your faith in whichever party you decide to vote for.  So have you registered to be a voter yet? Because this is the only day when you really have the power to choose which party to represent you in making Malaysia a better place for you and your future generation.

BN will Retain Sibu #212 by a majority of 1608 votes

Ok. A friend of mine apparently said I could have jinxed the Hulu Selangor by election. I think he’s kinda into fengshui or whatever. As most of my prediction was wrong, and went the other way round. So this time, he wants me to write in this blog that BN will win. And hopefully once again, I will be wrong. Lol.

Anyway, my thoughts on this upcoming by election without a doubt that this will indeed be a tough fight. And we shall see a lot of goodies being passed around once again. As some told me that the Chinese will take pity on PR for losing the Hulu Selangor by election, so they’ll throw in support for them. So that’s my prediction, for this upcoming by election. Lol. That BN will retain Sibu by 1608 votes.

Fatal 4 Way For Hulu Selangor’s By Election

Left to Right - BN P.Kamalanathan, PR Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, Independant Johan Md Diah & V.S. Chandran (Pictures by The Malaysian Insider)

This is going to be one interesting by election so far.  Well, reason is that one thing in common they are and used to be in BN.  From the way I look at it is that, it’s a handicap match between 3 BN candidates (despite the 2 independent) vs 1 PR candidate.  Why I say so is that, for the past few weeks BN had problems choosing a candidate for their own whereby they were not sure who will get the seat.

Anyway, from the looks of things I have a feeling that Mr.Johan is there being fielded by UMNO as a sort of safe deposit.  If he were to win, I doubt that he’ll be independent.  As for V.S. Chandran, it could have been Samy’s idea to put in there as a sign of unhappiness since Palanivel was not being nominated.  Hehe.  But I’m more interested in what will both of this independent will say during their “ceramah”, as both of them are ex-BN people.  Oh well, we shall see on election day that falls on the 25th April which is next week.

My prediction?  Well, I think Zaid Ibrahim will win probably with a majority of 5-7000.  Because of the split which I believe between Kamalanathan & Johan.  So let us see if my prediction will be correct or not, since it’s going to be a Sunday during polling day. Hehe.

War, What Is It Good For?

Anyway, this song is dedicated to all the politician of Malaysia.  Stop fighting and get some work done.  We’re not out from the recession yet.  And remember we placed you there for a good reason.  So stop messing up and forget your personal needs, but rather for the people.  If you are seriously there for the people then I suggest that you sell off all your possession and use that money to help the poor.  So if you can’t do that, don’t go and make any more sandiwara of being a hero and what not.  Enough is enough already lah.  The more you guys continue your in fighting, the more the people suffer.  Grow up please.  Here’s a song dedicated to all of you.
