Dear Esther,

  It’s been over a month since Daddy had written to you.  You’ve got to forgive daddy, as daddy was tied up with a lot of unnecessary issues in life whereby now daddy had pretty much managed to clear up a lot of things within these past few weeks.  So where do we begin?  Well, last month you made your very first trip to Jakarta and boy did you had a great time there with your cousin Venice.  It was only a week while we were there, but you have grown so much ever since.  One of the things that you pretty much did was learning to play with others, especially with Venice.  No doubt that you didn’t know how to share, but fortunately for Venice she always give in to you and pass you whatever toys she has.

  During this trip you managed to learn how to start climbing chairs or small tables in order for you to stand.  It was pretty much exciting to see you learning new things everyday, especially when you met your other cousins who were running around and having fun.  You sat there in amazement while laughing and cheering with them.  Both mommy and daddy thought that this was a very good experience for you to learn things, by observing what others are doing.

  Apart from that, you just love going to the shopping malls.  And not to mention when you and your cousin sat on one of the rides.  You were at first very scared of sitting inside the car, but once you’ve got used to it the ride stopped.  After that it was on to the train ride, but both you and Venice were not old enough to ride alone.  So both mommy’s had to follow as well, while us Daddy stayed outside and took photos as well as videos of your ride on the train.

  Another thing that happened during our trip there was that, you learned to crawl on your own.  Because previously your mode of transport was pretty much army style as you used your elbows as well as your tummy to get from one place to another.  It was then, you also learned how to sit on your own whenever you lie down or in a crawling position.  Both mommy and daddy also learn not to leave you alone even when you are sleeping, because there was one time you were crying very loudly when both mummy and daddy was outside.  And when we rushed to see what has happened to you, you were on the floor and not on the bed anymore.  Apparently you managed to crawl down from the bed, and was probably scared because there was no one around when you woke up.  But it’s all good, not to mention whenever you hear Venice’s voice you would suddenly get up and not feel sleepy even if you didn’t slept for the whole day.

  Anyway, fast forwarding till today you also had a good time with you Ah Ma who was here with us for a week.  So what are your latest “pattern” today?  Well, you are more talkative now where by you would just say all sorts of things thinking that we would understand what you are actually saying.  You are also right now learning how to stand on your own, and just the other day you managed to take 3 steps before falling down.  It won’t be long before you will learn how to fly I suppose.  But it is also very difficult for us to keep an eye on you now, especially when you start to put everything and anything into your mouth.  Lol.  But normally you would do it on purpose especially when all of us are watching you, daddy guess you just love the way we would all freak out and tried to pull whatever thing you had in your mouth.  But I guess it’s all about growing up, and daddy still can’t believe that you are already 11 months old.  You’ll be one year old in 3 weeks time.  Mummy and daddy is now wondering what we should do for your birthday.  Oh well, we still have 3 more weeks to decide on what we should do.  Anyway, I think Daddy will stop here for now as Daddy is currently having a splitting headache.  Probably it’s due to the fact that daddy had a very cold drink just now.  Will be writing to you again real soon.

  Today you are 9 months old.  So many things has change over the past months ever since daddy has written to you.  You’ve pretty much start to learn how to recognize people already.  And of course, as of late you tend to stick more to mommy compared to daddy.  Probably you pretty much figured out who gives you more benefit.  Lol.  But that’s ok, Daddy still love you the way you are.

  As of late, Daddy is trying to spend more time with you as well, hopefully you won’t cling on to mommy too much.  As you gave us quite a shocked 2 Sundays ago, when Mommy wanted to go and get her holy communion, you refused to let go of mommy.  But finally in the end, Daddy managed to get your attention for a while so that mommy can have her holy communion.  You sure are one difficult baby to please now.  Never the less, it’s all good as you’re pretty much beginning to grow up so quickly.  Today, we went and visited the doctor where we thought you should have your Prevanar vaccination.  Unfortuantely for us, Dr.Anne Kong wasn’t available so we ended up visiting Dr. Wee instead.  You weight in about 8.05kg, and 72cm tall today.  He did a general check up on you, and slightly brief us if we decided to go for the vaccination or not.  In the end, we’ve decided to take the shot right after when you hit your birthday.

  Just 2 days ago, Daddy and Mommy celebrated our 2 year annivesary of happily being married.  Daddy went and tapao some italian food for mommy.  Probably next year, you’ll be able to join us for our celebration as well.  But then again, we’ll see how it goes.  Only if you promise to be good   Hehehe..  Apart from that, after you have successfully found out how to crawl.  You are already trying to learn how to stand.  Mommy said you can pretty much stand on your own inside your cot, just as long you are able to find something you can grab on for support.  So it won’t be long before you start walking followed by running around later.

   Also for the past few afternoon, daddy have also been introducing you to learn how to play the Piano.  Yes, you tend to have fun banging on the keys.  But I guess everyone have to learn to start from somewhere.  So hopefully you’ll continue to keep the interests of playing the Piano in the near future.  But daddy is a bit concern you playing the guitar, as you seem to have interests in that too.  Lol.  Oh well, we shall see how it goes ya.

  Anyway, Kung Kung managed to bring you to Taman Sahabat the other day just while bringing your Yi Kung to tour around Kuching.  I heard from Mommy you were smiling and laughing all the time.  Daddy haven’t take the photos from mommy’s laptop as all the pictures were stored in there.  Never the less, you really seem to have a good time from the pictures which I saw.  And it won’t be long, you’ll be going for another long journey.  But I guess I’ll keep that as a surprise for now, and hopefully you’ll be patient in reading the next letter daddy is going to write to you next month.

  It’s getting kinda late already, so daddy will need to sign out now.  Daddy still have got some more work to do, but currently can’t get any inspiration on how to do it.  Probably daddy will just sleep through it tonight and see how it goes in the morning.  Hopefully daddy will be able to complete it by then.  Till then, sweet dreams my precious daugther.

Daddy

  Today you’re 8 months and 1 week old.  Time really flies, when you’re pretty much busy with so many things to do.  Mummy and Daddy been talking how one week just pass by so quickly when we felt that we accomplished just a little.  So what has happened over this past month since daddy last wrote to you.

  You can’t crawl yet, but I believe when the time is right you will start moving around like your friend Samantha.  No doubt she’s younger than you a month, but I guess you couldn’t really coordinate your movements yet.  Don’t worry, you’ll be on your feet very soon, as you are pretty much very “steady” with your baby walker. Some how or rather from what I understand from mummy was that, when you’re on the carpeted floor, you tend to work very hard in walking.  But once she placed you on the tile floor, you give yourself a little push and let the stroller carry you away to your destination.  As if you pretty much figured out that the tiles has less friction compared to the carpet.  So I guess you’re one smart little baby.  Hehehe.

  Since last month, you have developed another habit where you are able to recognize people already.  You don’t like the idea of other people carrying you, even when both mummy and daddy are just in front of you.  But surprisingly not all were given the same treatment.  Apparently you are kindy selective on who can carry you and who can’t.  Never the less, you never stop smiling at the people you love.  Speaking of which, as of late you have been very “manja” with daddy.  Whenever mummy would bring you down here to the shop and sit on the long bench.  Daddy will always move out from my chair and head over to sit with you and mummy over the long bench.  As soon as daddy sits next to mummy, you would go and reach over daddy’s shirt and start to pull daddy close to you.  You pretty much wanted daddy to carry you around, lol.  But it’s all good, as mummy pretty much is love by you as well.

  After having you around for 8 months, we’re pretty much fixed to the program you have installed in our life.  Hehe.  For instance when you get up in the middle of the night, mummy would feed you.  And after a while when it’s close to 5.30-6am, right after mummy feed you.  It’s then daddy’s turn to bring downstairs, and give mummy some rest.  Unfortunately today daddy wasn’t really feeling too well, mummy was the one who brought you down instead.  Lol.  You got to love mummy ya   Well, whenever daddy bring you down to the living room we would always turn on the TV and watch was is on.  Normally around 6am, we would watch whatever is good on either HBO, Star Movie or Cinemax.  But by 6.30am, we would switch to Star World and watch The Simpsons!  Well, you were more interested in the remote control compared to the Simpsons.  Hehehe.  Anyway, by 7 am we would switch to TVIQ where they are showing The Wiggles.  Yes you had fun watching it, especially whenever you see Wags the Dog or Dorothy the Dinosaur.  And by 7.30am we get to watch The Cubeez.  Normally around this time, mummy had already finished her bath, and comes down to prepare breakfast.  Mummy was pretty much impress with daddy because daddy is able to sing almost all the songs which was shown.  I guess you could say we’ve pretty much got brainwashed by them.  Hehehe.

  Anyway, Daddy will stop here for now.  But will continue to write again when the time comes.  Never the less, it has been fun writing letters to you know so that when you get a little bit older you pretty much can carry on blogging about your own life.  Well that is if you decide to blog.  Anyway, the other image hostin site is down, so daddy will use multiply to store your pictures for now.  We’re not sure if Multiply will keep our images for a very long time or not, but daddy will definately have other backup sites for all your pictures.  Remember, you can always come to mummy or daddy whenever you need help ya

Daddy.

   You’re 7 months and 6 days today. Daddy was suppose to post something earlier, but Daddy had something else to attend to. So let us start what had actually happened for the past few weeks since Daddy last wrote to you.      Well, last week was Mummy’s birthday. We didn’t had a big celebration as Daddy was busy with work and couldn’t really prepare to do anything much. Lol. But Mummy was understanding. Daddy managed to get her a cake earlier that day. And we had KFC for dinner. Never the less, Mummy & you weren’t feeling well so we pretty much had everything at home for those past few days. Then the following day, mummy’s friend dropped by as well to celebrate her birthday. And Aunty Sze Hui bought you a blue hippo. And you were one smart little baby, know how to make friends very fast. As you were happily playing away with Aunty Sze Hui while mummy have her dinner and daddy bathe.    Week before that, your Grand Aunty Zainab paid us a visit. Finally she was able to see you for the very first time after 7 months. Lol. She had heard so much about you, and was delighted to be able to carry you. But being you, you pretty much was quiet at first and trying to sort of “register” her into the tiny little mind of yours. Lol. But after her 2nd trip, boy were you happy to see her. I guess you had your way in making people smile. Never the less, everyone who saw you said that you’re one happy little baby. And I couldn’t disagree with them.      So what is up your sleeves now at this age? Despite the fact you can’t crawl yet. But you’re pretty much turning around like nobody’s business. Guess probably that’s the way you tend to move around. Hehehe.. And of course, Daddy couldn’t forget the moment when you said “Pa Pa” right after The Wiggles had come to an end. Mummy was a bit jealous though, as she was telling Daddy she spent more time with you but instead you called Daddy first. Lol. But again, you were one smart baby and quickly uttered “Ma Ma” after that. So I guess it’s all good. No doubt, you can begin to repeat the words now. But I guess it won’t be long before you can differentiate between “Ma Ma” & “Pa Pa”. And now you can pretty much transfer yourself over to either Mummy or Daddy. Especially today, when mummy and you came down for a while. You quickly raised up both your hands and bend over to daddy asking, daddy to carry you. Well, isn’t that a sight for sore eyes. Lol. Guess, you wanna give Daddy a hug after a few hours not seeing each other.      Ok. Daddy will stop here for now. You’re currently sleeping in your tent. Daddy needs to make sure that you don’t get bitten by the mosquitoes. Tomorrow, Ah Neh will be dropping to visit you. Well, I’ll leave that for tomorrow. Remember that Mummy & Daddy love you very much ya
