Dear Esther

You’re 7 months and 6 days today. Daddy was suppose to post something earlier, but Daddy had something else to attend to. So let us start what had actually happened for the past few weeks since Daddy last wrote to you.      Well, last week was Mummy’s birthday. We didn’t had a big celebration as Daddy was busy with work and couldn’t really prepare to do anything much. Lol. But Mummy was understanding. Daddy managed to get her a cake earlier that day. And we had KFC for dinner. Never the less, Mummy & you weren’t feeling well so we pretty much had everything at home for those past few days. Then the following day, mummy’s friend dropped by as well to celebrate her birthday. And Aunty Sze Hui bought you a blue hippo. And you were one smart little baby, know how to make friends very fast. As you were happily playing away with Aunty Sze Hui while mummy have her dinner and daddy bathe.    Week before that, your Grand Aunty Zainab paid us a visit. Finally she was able to see you for the very first time after 7 months. Lol. She had heard so much about you, and was delighted to be able to carry you. But being you, you pretty much was quiet at first and trying to sort of “register” her into the tiny little mind of yours. Lol. But after her 2nd trip, boy were you happy to see her. I guess you had your way in making people smile. Never the less, everyone who saw you said that you’re one happy little baby. And I couldn’t disagree with them.      So what is up your sleeves now at this age? Despite the fact you can’t crawl yet. But you’re pretty much turning around like nobody’s business. Guess probably that’s the way you tend to move around. Hehehe.. And of course, Daddy couldn’t forget the moment when you said “Pa Pa” right after The Wiggles had come to an end. Mummy was a bit jealous though, as she was telling Daddy she spent more time with you but instead you called Daddy first. Lol. But again, you were one smart baby and quickly uttered “Ma Ma” after that. So I guess it’s all good. No doubt, you can begin to repeat the words now. But I guess it won’t be long before you can differentiate between “Ma Ma” & “Pa Pa”. And now you can pretty much transfer yourself over to either Mummy or Daddy. Especially today, when mummy and you came down for a while. You quickly raised up both your hands and bend over to daddy asking, daddy to carry you. Well, isn’t that a sight for sore eyes. Lol. Guess, you wanna give Daddy a hug after a few hours not seeing each other. :D      Ok. Daddy will stop here for now. You’re currently sleeping in your tent. Daddy needs to make sure that you don’t get bitten by the mosquitoes. Tomorrow, Ah Neh will be dropping to visit you. Well, I’ll leave that for tomorrow. Remember that Mummy & Daddy love you very much ya ;)

Loving you always,
Daddy

Dear Esther

So you’re coming to 6 months next week, and within these past few weeks you’ve pretty much showed us quite a lot of things. One of them was when we covered you with a piece of cloth on your face, initially you were trying to remove it by going sideways or climb higher above the cloth. But mummy kept on bringing your hands to the cloth for you to grab it. And after you learned how to do that, you pretty much master it whenever we threw a cloth to cover your face. Lol.

The latest stunt you are currently doing is whereby you can pretty much sit on your own. No doubt you are still practicing your balance, but never the less. It’s all good. Haha, at this age some said you should be crawling or learning to stand already. But never the less, I guess we spoiled you too much because we never really train you to do so. But it’s ok, we’ll guide you slowly first before you learn to take your first steps. In the meantime, you are pretty much very talkative now whenever you sit in your stroller. And of course, occasionally you screamed at the top of your lungs to get our attention. Especially while both mummy and I are eating. Lol. How could we ever forget that.

Speaking of which, you are also able to hold your own bottle now whenever we give you water to drink. It’s funny how times just fly by like that, and experiencing everything you’re going through. Mummy and Daddy have been talking about how we want you to first turn over, then sit up on your own, and start to crawl and walk. But by then, we would pretty much be worried about you by then. Hehehe. As you’re pretty much one active little baby. Never the less, we still love you very much. You’re also beginning to recognize people around you, as you don’t really smile to strangers now. Probably it would be a bad time to find a baby sitter for you. Hehehe, never the less we doubt we’ll ever do that. At the moment, it’s pretty fun having you around. Especially whenever you come down to the shop for a visit so that daddy can have his lunch, or during the middle of the day where daddy will need to do a bit of business. So it’s all good. ^_^

At the moment, daddy is sort of at the crossroad in life whereby major decisions needed to be made. Currently daddy is working on something, so that you won’t have to worry about your education fees when you’re a little bit older. So once daddy finishes up with this work, daddy might need to go do something else as well. But no matter what, it will still need to be confirmed and agreed by mummy first. At least with mummy’s confirmation, daddy knows everything will turn out all right. But in the mean time, it means more over time and perseverance to make sure it will be completed. With Good Friday, and Easter coming up soon, daddy is a bit tied up as well with ministry. But it’s all good, as serving God ensures that daddy won’t wander off very far from his path.

Anyway, Daddy going to sign off now. As daddy needs to get back to work. Will be writing to you soon again.

Loving you always,
Daddy

Dear Esther #5

So you’re 5 months today. Sorry took daddy a while to write this letter as you know daddy was a bit busy, and not to mention the crazy internet connection we’re currently going through at the moment. Plus with so many things on Daddy’s mine, I couldn’t write the proper letter to you. Anyway, daddy got pass all the difficult time already and finally able to clear daddy’s mind and to continue writing this letter from our previous letter. ;)

Mummy, You & your “Seh Shuk”

At the moment, the only 2 people in our family still don’t dare to carry you is your Seh Shuk, and Kuku. As they thought you were pretty much fragile back when you were in Miri during the Chinese New Year. Aunty Carol was also pretty much fancy you like mad, when we brought you down the very first day. You pretty much could tell that she was head over heel over you, and mummy said when she found out you were downstairs. She quickly went and washed her hands and asked if she could carry you. Lol, I guess you were quite a charmer for your age then.

Your Ah Ta and Ah Neh also had a good time being with you. Especially when they placed you on the sofa, you couldn’t stop but to laugh and smile each time you saw your Ah Ta and Ah Neh. And one week seems to go pass so quickly for them, as they couldn’t believed you had to go home to Kuching already. Yes, it was indeed an experience for you especially when you were on the plane. As the plane experienced turbulence, all of us were to asked to buckle our seat belts, but you giggled each time the plane got bumped a little. Apparently you thought it was fun, where both mummy and daddy was pretty much thought it was a funny incident for you to react that way.

Once you reached back Kuching, your Poh Poh was outside the arrival hall waiting for your arrival, while your Kung Kung was in the car waiting as well. Boy were they glad to see you as well. You were really loved by everyone, and you must always remember that ya. That family is always first in your priority, which right after God of course. Hehe. Never the less you must always remember they would always be here for you no matter what happens. When you feel the world is all against you, just remember you always have your family to support you k.

A few days later, we celebrated your Kung Kung’s birthday. You were in your red Chinese New Year outfit, which we all pretty much agree that you looked very cute in it. Hehehe. But it was during this very night, right before we started the dinner you given us a surprise. What actually happened was mummy left you on the floor mattress as she was about to get some more food from the back. Daddy just brought the cake over to the living room table. What happened next was that you actually turned to your tummy all on your own. Previously mummy and daddy had to help you, but from that moment on you were pretty much on your own. You’re pretty much growing up quite quickly now.

As of late, you seem to scream much more often, and very active as well. And you couldn’t stop turning over, whenever we put you on the bed or on the floor. As both mummy and daddy don’t dare to leave you alone, for even 5 seconds now. And you also got into the habit of sleeping in front of the TV. Yes, during these time whenever you didn’t want to sleep especially at night. Daddy had to switch on the TV and turn on to channels where there is a lot of dialog going on, but not those with actions or animals in it. Those kind of channels pretty much makes you go to sleep very quickly. But if you saw an a picture of an animal, or even another child you begin to become very active. Not to mention those that has singing, or music you tend to dance with them as well. Never the less, it’s all good. Can’t really blame you for that, as I guess you’re into music as well.

Speaking of which, you tend to developed a fondness over guitars. When daddy took out daddy’s guitar, you seem to laugh and smile at it a lot. And daddy also let you played with the keyboard, which you thought to yourself is very amusing whenever you press one of the keys and sounds comes out. Hopefully you would be an upcoming musician. Probably daddy is going to teach you when you’re able to sit up for a long time properly. Anyway, Daddy will stop here for now. Sorry not much pictures of you at the moment, as Daddy seldom take photographs of you using the camera. Whereby most of the pictures are in daddy and mummy’s phone. Never the less, it’s all good :) You be good now ya.

Loving you always,
Daddy.
