DOTA or also known as Defense of the Ancients have been very popular ever since it came out, dunno how many years already. As a Warcraft fan, I tried playing once when it first came out and pretty much found it very boring. But it was only till few months ago, a friend of mine kept on telling me how fun DOTA was and all that. And been asking me to join him for a game along with his friends.
So last weekend, while sitting at the comfort of my own home trying to work something out. This friend of mine popped up and asked me to join him quickly for a match with his friends. So I decided to have a go with him and see how it really goes. No doubt when you’re playing against computers you tend to predict what they are going to do. But against another player was totally a different story. So anyway, I pretty much had a crash course with this guy, and throughout the whole game his other friend was cursing me like mad. Lol. And asked me how long have I been playing. I told him I know play once, and that was a very long time ago. During the in game, they had all sorts of terms which pretty much means nothing to me. And probably that’s why he was so pissed off at me. But anyway, eventually everything went well and the game was over. And it was already close to 1 AM and boy was I sleepy. I was hoping to sleep early on Saturday night as well as on Sunday, but I just couldn’t sleep. I guess that one night of fun pretty much screw up my biological clock. Anyway, at the end of the day I still think Left 4 Dead is still more exciting compared to DOTA. But anyway, since the 2nd one already came up now waiting for it to arrive in Malaysia. Hehehe.. But in the meantime, this was the conversation we had after the game was over. They talked about DOTA as if it was one of a mandatory subject you need to pass in SPM like that. I wonder if they do well in school……
